WEGWIJZER
Veel mensen vinden de herfst het minst leuke seizoen, daarom geven we deze week 5 tips om toch van dit kille, gure weer te kunnen genieten!
Maandag is de perfecte dag om met een heet kopje thee onder een dekentje te kruipen en te luisteren naar de regen die op de ramen tokkelt, want op maandag zijn er geen activiteiten.
Op dinsdag moet je eens een wandeling gaan maken in een bos of in een park, en kijken naar de prachtige kleuren die de blaadjes aan de bomen deze tijd van het jaar hebben. Laat vervolgens je wandeling eindigen in het M-café, want het is weer tijd voor onze fakbar. Heeft het kleurenpallet van bos of park je lyrisch gemaakt en geïnspireerd tot het schrijven van een lied of gedicht? Dan heb je vanavond ook meteen de kans om dat aan het publiek te tonen, want het is open mic in de fakbar. Op voorhand daarvoor inschrijven is niet nodig, je mag ter plaatse kiezen wanneer je je lied, gedicht, muziekstuk… wilt voorbrengen. De deuren van de fakbar openen om 21:00 en we starten de veruitwendiging van talent om 22:30.
Op woensdag bieden we iedereen de tijd om wat noten te gaan rapen en die te poffen en te roosteren boven een gezellig knetterend haardvuur. Je mag deze ’s middags ook komen nuttigen tijdens het onderwijsbureau, waar we het zullen hebben over COBRA. Je kan ook zelf nog agendapunten aandragen door voor dinsdag te mailen naar onderwijs@nfk.be. Iedereen is welkom om 13:00 in lokaal S van het HIW.
Donderdag gaan we bowlen van 20:00 tot 22:00, dus haal je beste, warmste, donzigste sokken maar boven, zodat die veel te grote bowlingschoenen eindelijk eens passen en je voeten er nog warm in blijven ook! Hiervoor moet je je liefst inschrijven via het google docs formulier.
Ook na het bowlen gaan die dikke sokken nog goed van pas komen, want vanaf 22:00 is het LOKOmotion. Kaarten voor dit feestje dat letterlijk in heel Leuven plaatsvindt, zijn voor €5 euro te koop in de cudi of door te mailen naar feest@nfk.be. NFK is medeverantwoordelijk voor de sfeer in het Musicafé, dus kom zeker daar eens een dansje placeren. Dankzij je wollige sokjes ga je geen pijn krijgen aan je voeten van het dansen, en ga je ook de nachtelijke kou niet voelen als je na het feesten terug naar huis gaat.
Vrijdag raden we je aan om in de blaadjes te gaan spelen, en waar kan je dat beter doen dan in de bladerhopen die zich opstapelen voor de deuren van ons eigenste HIW? Na al dat gespring en gehuppel zal je waarschijnlijk wel honger hebben gekregen, daarom staan we ook deze week weer voor je klaar met een overheerlijke broodmaaltijd in de lounge, tussen 12:00 en 14:00.
TOEKOMSTMUZIEK
Omdat kijken soms leuker is dan zelf meedoen, gaan we met NFK naar de Red Flames kijken, de nationale vrouwenvoetbalploeg. Zij spelen op 30 november om 20:00 een kwalificatiematch voor het EK tegen Servië. Die match heeft plaats in de Dreef in Heverlee, naast het Sportkot. Een ticket hiervoor kost slechts €5, en NFK zal die aankopen om er voor te zorgen dat we met z’n allen samen kunnen zitten. Om dat te kunnen doen, is het nodig dat jullie op voorhand inschrijven via deze link.Deadline om in te schrijven is 27/11.
Voor zij die het lastig hebben met Logica is er diezelfde maandag (30/11) nogmaals een bijles Logica, van 18u tot 20u. Het lokaal zal in de volgende wegwijzer staan. We zullen het hoofdstuk over modale logica behandelen en, als de lessen voldoende gevorderd zijn, het eerste deel van predikatenlogica.
EXTRA
Omdat bloed levensnoodzakelijk is, wordt ook nu weer de Bloedserieus-week georganiseerd, deze keer van 23 november tot 26 november. Bloedserieus wilt mensen aansporen om bloed te doneren. Verder worden er ook activiteiten georganiseerd die gratis zijn voor de doneren, en elke donor krijg een goedgevulde goodiebag! Voor extra info en meer details, check zeker het Facebook-evenement.

NFKALENDAR
Autumn is the least favourite season for a lot of people, so this week we’re providing you with 5 tips in order for you to be able to enjoy this chilly, inclement weather after all!
Monday is the perfect day to snuggle under a blanket with a hot cup of tea whilst listening to the rain strumming on the windows, because there are no activities on Monday.
On Tuesday, we suggest you go for a walk in a park or in a forest and look at the magnificent colours the leaves of the trees have this time of year. Thereafter, end your stroll in the M-café, because it’s time for another fakbar. Did the colour palette of the leaves make you lyrical and were you inspired to write a song or a poem? Then you already have a chance to show it tonight, because we’re having an open mic in the fakbar. You don’t need to subscribe for this, you can just decide the moment itself if you want to perform your song, poetry, music piece… The fakbar opens at 21:00 and we will start the performances at 22:30.
On Wednesday we offer you plenty of time to gather some nuts and pop and roast them on top of a nice crackling fire. You can also come and eat them at our education bureau, where we’ll talk about COBRA. You can still suggest other topics by mailing to education@nfk.be before Tuesday. Everyone is welcome at 13:00 in room S of the HIW.
Thursday we’re going bowling from 20:00 to 22:00, so get out your best, warmest, fuzziest socks, to ensure that those bowling shoes that are always way to big will finally fit, plus they keep your feet warm too! If you want to join us, please sign up via the google docs form.
Even after the bowling those fuzzy socks will come in handy, because at 22:00 it’s LOKOmotion. Tickets for this party that takes place in literally all of Leuven cost €5 and are available in the cudi and by mailing to party@nfk.be. NFK will be hosting Musicafé, so make sure you drop by for some fun company and awesome dance moves! Thanks to your woolly socks your feet won’t hurt from all that dancing, and you won’t feel the nightly cold when you go home after partying.
On Friday we recommend you to go play in the leaves, and what is a better place to do that than in the piles of leaves that heap up in front of the doors of the HIW? After all that jumping and hopping you’ll probably will be hungry, so we’ll be standing ready for you with another delicious bread meal in the lounge, between 12:00 and 14:00.
IN THE FUTURE
On the pretext of watching is sometimes better than acting, NFK sports is proposing to support the Belgian Red Flames! This is the women’s national football team (counterpart of the Red Devils) and they are working through a series of EK 2017 qualification matches. On the 30th of November, the opponent is Serbia; this match takes place at ‘den Dreef’ (Heverlee), next to ‘Sportkot’. Kickoff at 20:00. Both teams are leading the group with the maximum of points after 2 matches… Tickets cost only €5, and NFK will buy them so we’ll be able to sit all together. In order to do that, it’s necessary that you sign up through this link. Deadline to sign up is 27/11.
For those of you who are struggling with Logic, there’ll also be another Logic tutoring session on Monday the 30th, from 18:00 to 20:00. The location will be anounced in the next NFKalendar. We’ll cover modal logic and, if the classes have advanced far enough, the first part of predicate logic.
EXTRA
Because blood is the most vital thing to live, there’ll be another Bloedserieus-week, this time from the 23rd to the 26th of November. Bloedserieus wants to encourage people to donate blood. Besides that, they also organise activities during that week who are free for the donors, and every donor receives a richly filled goodie bag!
