WEGWIJZER
Deze week is dilemma-week! Omdat de planning best wat openingen bevat, willen we de mogelijkheid geven om die anders lege momenten op te vullen. Wat voor opvulling had je in gedachten? Toch geen praliné of caramel? Dompel jezelf deze week dagelijks onder in een dilemma (en eventueel ook die goede dosis caramel…)!
Maandag bieden we je de ganse dag om na te denken over dit prangende dilemma: Stel dat je vastberaden was je nog ongeboren kind ‘Lente’ te noemen. Nu blijkt dat als je haar Lente noemt, zij jaarlijks storend veel last zal hebben van hooikoorts. Als je haar echter ‘Hooikoorts’ noemt, zal zij jaarlijks een fleurige, gezonde lente beleven. Zal je kind ‘Lente’ of ‘Hooikoorts’ heten?
Dinsdag-avond kan je naar het Sportkot in Heverlee lopen om nog meer te lopen op de 24 urenloop! Samen met Pedagogiek zet NFK zich in om de estafettestok 4 uur lang (3:30-5:30 en 7:30-9:30) over te nemen van het ‘Run for Specials team’. Uitzonderlijk is de fakbar deze week niet geopend! Maak je hoofd tijdens het lopen leeg voor volgend dilemma: Kies je ervoor om één maand lang een storend fluitend radiatorgeluidje te zijn of vier maanden lang drie uur per dag een storend radiatorgeluidje te aanhoren? (Tip bij het overwegen: bedenk hoe plezant het moet zijn om anderen te kunnen ambeteren louter en alleen door er te zijn.)
De beloning voor die inspanning volgt woensdagochtend met een heus ontbijt op de 24 urenloop! Als je vijf rondjes hebt gelopen, mag je zelfs gratis je ontbijt nuttigen! (Komaan hé mannen, ontbijtje in ruil voor wat toertjes… Hop met die beentjes dinsdagnacht!). Om te bekomen van die inspanningen die ons naar de top helpen op de 24 urenloop, organiseren we een heuse Weltschmerzdag! Kom tussen 13:00 en 17:00 uitrusten en ontspannen in de lounge met snackjes, drankjes, films en uiteraard tof gezelschap. Raak je wegwijs uit volgend dilemma van deze Wegwijzer? Kies je ervoor de slaap absoluut niet te kunnen vatten, maar wel super moe te zijn of kies je ervoor een andere, maar gelijkwaardige term dan ‘ambetant’ te moeten vinden voor het absoluut niet kunnen vatten van slaap, maar wel super moe te zijn?
Donderdag vindt de eerste POC plaats. Daar worden onderwijskwesties besproken. Ook het onderwijsteam van NFK zal daar aanwezig zijn om de mening van filosofiestudenten te verdedigen. Wil jij iets kwijt in verband met onderwijs? Kom dan om 20:00 naar de lounge om je standpunt aan ons mee te delen op het onderwijsbureau, zodat we ieders mening kunnen vertegenwoordigen. Donderdag is een dilemma-dag: Je krijgt een doosje pralines met likeur. Welke likeursmaak welke praline heeft gekoloniseerd, weet je niet. Ofwel zijn de pralines echt de lekkerste die je ooit van je hele leven zult eten en besef je dit ook. Puur genot. (Niet puur eigenlijk natuurlijk, vanwege die likeur…). Ofwel zijn de pralines echt walgelijk, lig je erdoor de rest van de dag ziek in je bed en krijg je de smaak niet weg voor een ganse week. Eet je de pralines op of niet? Let op: Beginnen aan de inhoud van het doosje, betekent dat je niet mag stoppen tot je ze allemaal verorberd hebt!
Kom op vrijdag tussen 12:00 en 14:00 naar de broodmaaltijd in de lounge om volgend kort, maar ingrijpend dilemma te bespreken: Altijd natte sokken of altijd koude handen?
WEEKENDACTIVITEIT
Ook in het weekend staat NFK paraat. Zondag kan je namelijk met ons mee op toeristische excursie naar Antwerpen! Heb je zin in een dag vol cultuur en plezier? Schrijf je dan in aan de valven of via Google Docs. Afspraak om 14:00 aan de grote trap van Antwerpen Centraal. Tot dan!

Word jij een van de nieuwe Faculty STARS 2015-2016? De Dienst Cultuur KU Leuven gaat samen met de faculteiten al voor het vierde jaar op rij op zoek naar hét artistieke gezicht van elke faculteit. Ben je creatief bezig met fotografie, schilderkunst, poëzie, mode, (computer)animatie, muziek, stand-up, dans, design, performance of een andere kunstvorm? NFKALENDAR
This week is all about dilemmas! Because there are some gaps between the activities, we want to give you something to think about during those empty moments. What kind of filling did you have in mind? Hazelnut paste or caramel? Immerge yourself every day of this week in a dilemma (and perhaps also in that caramel…)!
On Monday we give you the day off to think about this urgent dilemma: Suppose you have decided to name your unborn child ‘Spring’. It now turns out that if you call her Spring, she’ll have a very bad case of hay fever every year. But if you name her ‘Hay Fever’, she will have a happy, carefree spring every year. Are you going to call your child ‘Spring’ or ‘Hay Fever’?
Tuesday evening you can come to the Sportkot in Heverlee to run for us at the 24 hourrun! Together with the student association Pedagogiek, NFK will run for 4 hours (3:30-5:30 and 7:30-9:30) in favour of the ‘Run for Specials’ team (the association of disabled students). Because of this exceptional activity, there won’t be a fakbar this week. While you’re running, clear your head for this dilemma: Would you choose to be an annoying whistle sound for a month, or would you rather hear that annoying whistle sound three hours a day for four months? (Maybe taking this into consideration can provide some help: just think about how fun it would be, being able to annoy people with your existence alone.)
To reward you for all the running you’ve done, we provide you with a breakfast on Wednesday morning at the 24 hourrun. If you’ve ran five laps for NFK, the breakfast is for free! (If that isn’t the best motivation, we don’t know what is.) If you need to recover from all those efforts you’ve put in to helping us get to the top during the 24 hourrun, you can come to the Weltschmerzday. Come to the lounge between 13:00 and 17:00 for a relaxed evening filled with snacks, drinks, movies and of course, great company. What do you think of this next dilemma: Would you choose to be absolutely unable to catch sleep but be extremely tired, or would you rather have to come up with a word to describe what it feels like to be extremely tired? You cannot use the word ‘annoying’, but your word needs to have the same connotation. The upside is that you won’t be tired if you choose to do this.
On Thursday, the first POC will take place, a meeting during which education-related topics will be discussed. The educationteam of NFK will also be there to defend the opinions of the philosophy students. Do you have an issue or recommendation for an education-related topic? Then be sure to come to our education bureau in the lounge at 20:00, so that we can be the representatives who take everyone’s opinion into account.
Thursday is dilemma-day: Someone has given you a box of chocolates with liqueur, but you don’t know which kind of liqueur. Either these chocolates will be the best thing you have ever tasted and you will experience pure bliss. Or the chocolates will be outright disgusting, you’ll get sick and won’t be able to lose the taste for a whole week. Will you eat them or not? Be careful, because once you’ve started to eat a chocolate, you can’t stop until the whole box is empty.
Come to the bread meal in the lounge between 12:00 and 14:00 on Friday to discuss this short but drastic dilemma: Would you want to have wet socks all the time, or would you rather have freezing hands all the time?
WEEKEND ACTIVITY
