Aangezien een filosofiestudent braaf is van nature,
brengt de Sint je misschien wel een cadeau.
Voor zij bij wie de Sint toch niet langskomt in de nachtelijke uren:
niet getreurd, want NFK verwent je sowieso!
Bestaat er een mooier cadeau dan vakantie?
NFK organiseert maandag haar infosessie voor de Cultuurreis naar Boedapest. Iedereen is welkom om 20u in auditorium B van het HIW.
Dinsdag is het weer tijd voor verwennerij met goedkope pintjes in onze Fakbar.
Woensdag nemen we je mee voor een tocht, niet langs de schoorstenen maar langs de leukste (fak)bars van Leuven! We beginnen om 21u in de Lounge met drankspelletjes, om rond 23u te vertrekken op onze kroegentocht.
Gezondheid is belangrijk voor ieders welzijn, dus ook op het vlak van sport laat je favoriete kring je niet in de steek. Kom donderdag om 21u badminton spelen in de KHL sporthal (Hertogstraat 178 in Heverlee). We spreken af om 20u40 aan het HIW. Wie mee wilt doen stuurt een mail naar sport@nfk.be of een facebookbericht naar Ewoud De Sadeleer. Vergeet geen racket en pluimpjes!
Vrijdag is de goede man jarig en hij trakteert! Zet voor donderdagavond 20u je schoentje in de Lounge en kom het goedgevuld ophalen tijdens onze Sinterklaasbroodmaaltijd!
De hele week door staat de inleverdoos van de Boekenruil aan de balie van de bib, lever je geleende boek in zodat het opnieuw bij zijn eigenaar belandt.
Ook zijn vanaf deze week de kaarten voor ons Kerstfeest te koop, eveneens aan de balie van de bib.

Is there any present better than a trip?
On Monday there will be an information session about our trip to Budapest. It starts at 8 pm and takes place in auditory B of the institute.
On Tuesday our gift to you is our Fak! 10 pm, M-café.
On Wednesday we’ll wander around the pubs, like the old saint does around the chimneys of good children. Our Pub crawl starts at 9 pm with some drinking games in our Lounge and afterward will hit the city.
What about some sports on Thursday? We’ll play badminton at the KHL sports hall (Hertogstraat 178 in Heverlee). Meeting at 20:40 in front of the institute. On Friday Saint Nicholas celebrates his birthday, so we get treats! If you deposit your shoe in the Lounge before Thursday 8 pm, you might find it filled with candy during our Saint Nicholas Bread meal in the Lounge at 1 pm.
For those who participated at our Book-exchange, please return your book in the box at the library desk, so we can give the books back to their owners.
And last but not least: tickets for our Christmas dinner are available at the library desk. The price is € 12 for students. Be quick, the tickets are coveted.
For those who are wondering what this Wegwijzer is babbling about: [In] Belgium, Saint Nicholas’ Eve (5 December) is the primary occasion for gift-giving, when his reputed birthday is celebrated. In the days leading up to 5 December young children put their shoes in front of the chimneys and sing Sinterklaas songs. Often they put a carrot or some hay in the shoes, as a gift to St. Nicholas’ horse. The next morning they will find a small present in their shoes, ranging from sweets to marbles or some other small toy.
The myth is that, if a child had been naughty, the Zwarte Pieten put all the naughty children in sacks, and Sinterklaas took them to Spain. Therefore, many Sinterklaas songs still allude to a watching Zwarte Piet and a judging Sinterklaas.
