WEGWIJZER
Deze week belooft weer leerrijk en leuk te worden! Jazeker, dat wordt beloofd. Deze week staat in het teken van beloftes met ludieke tint die we steeds maken, maar nooit houden.
Maandag zijn er geen activiteiten gepland, maar kan je wel bevestigen dat ook jij jezelf steeds belooft voortaan je afwas meteen te doen. Hoe komt het dan dat je afwas van vorige week daar nog staat te rijpen? Je afwas is bijna groener dan je glimlach.
Dinsdag kan je om 21:00 terecht in de fakbar. Het fakbar-team heeft alleszins beloofd aanwezig te zullen zijn! Maar we zien wel vaker dat organisaties hun beloftes niet houden… Hoe vaak heeft de VRT al wel niet beweerd om Witse en De Kampioenen niet meer uit te zenden?
Woensdag worden er croques en codices verkocht! Tussen 12:00 en 14:00 staan we paraat onder het afdak aan het HIW, aan €1 per croque, €1,50 voor twee croques (want eentje is geentje) en €10 per codex. Eet die croques maar, want de belofte die steeds gemaakt wordt over hoe de spaghettisaus van ieders mama de allerbeste is en hoe je die eens moet komen eten zal ook vandaag niet uitgevoerd worden. Tussen 21:00 en 22:00 speelt het damesteam van NFK wederom een zaalvoetbalmatch, ditmaal tegen Medica. Kom allen supporteren (eventueel met codex bij de hand) in de UCLL-sporthal (Hertogstraat 178, 3001 Heverlee).
Donderdag is het tijd om die codex te gebruiken op de eerste NFK cantus van het jaar: de Africantus! Deze zal plaatsvinden in het zaaltje boven café Den Delper (Parijsstraat 40). Er is een korte cantusinitiatie om 20:15 voor zij die nog niet vertrouwd zijn met de wondere wereld der cantussen. Het Io Vivat is om 20:30, wees zeker op tijd! Haal je onesies en gekke kleren maar boven, want je mag verkleed komen in eender wat de naam Africantus in je oproept. Inschrijven kan tijdens de openingsuren van de cudi. Cantussen op bier kost 12 euro, op water en eigen drank 6 euro. Het is dus het perfecte moment om je belofte te doorbreken minder alcohol te consumeren. Als je dan toch bezig bent met beloftes te schenden, stop dan ook maar met jezelf wijs te maken dat je de andere helft van dat chocolade Sinterklaasmannetje niet hoeft op te eten en dat ook niet gaat doen.
Vrijdag kan je terecht in de lounge tussen 12:00 en 14:00 om boterhammetjes te eten op onze broodmaaltijd voor maar €1,50. Maar als je nog moet bekomen van de cantus, kan dat evenzeer, want het is ook Weltschmerzdag. Beloof ons dat je komt (bij voorkeur in pyjama), in welke staat je ook verkeert. Breek je belofte niet!
Zondag wordt de tweede Sunday Brunch georganiseerd, zodat je ook tijdens het weekend a volonté kan smullen aan een voordelig tarief. Meer informatie volgt!

Omdat bloed levensnoodzakelijk is, wordt ook nu weer de Bloedserieus-week georganiseerd, deze keer van 23 november tot 26 november. Bloedserieus wilt mensen aansporen om bloed te doneren. Verder worden er ook activiteiten georganiseerd die gratis zijn voor de donoren, en krijgt elke donor een goedgevulde goodiebag! Voor extra info en meer details, check zeker het Facebook-evenement.

NFKALENDAR
It’s a promise that you’ll learn a lot and have a lot of fun this week. Yes, we promise. This week is all about promises we always make, but never keep.
On Monday, there are no activities. But you can always confirm that you keep on promising yourself to do the dishes straight away. How come your dishes are still standing there rotting away then?
On Tuesday, the fakbar will be opened from 21:00 on as usual. At least, that’s what the fakbar-team has promised… But we’ve often experienced organizations not keeping their promises. How many times did ‘they’ (equivalent to Heideggers anonymous ‘Man’) promise to stop broadcasting ‘Friends’ now?
On Wednesday, we’ll be selling croques and codices! You can find us between 12:00 and 14:00 underneath the lean-to on the right side of the HIW, with a croque for €1, two croques for €1,50, and a codex €10. Eat those croques, because the promise everyone’s mum’s spaghetti sauce is the absolute best and that you should come around to have a taste won’t be reality today either. Between 21:00 and 22:00 you can come and support our women’s soccer team playing against Medica in the UCLL-sportshall (Hertogstraat 178, 3001 Heverlee).
On Thursday, you should reflect on how (the to you probably new holiday) Sinterklaas has effected your promise-keeping. Stop it. Stop telling yourself that you don’t have to and won’t eat that other half of that chocolate man.
On Friday, you’re more than welcome to come and eat some delicious sandwiches in the lounge at our bread meal from 12:00 to 14:00 for only €1,50. Make it a promise. Don’t break it.
Sunday will only be complete when you join us on our second Sunday Brunch, where you can eat a large amount of delicious food for a small amount of money. More info soon!

Because blood is the most vital thing to live, there’ll be another Bloedserieus-week, this time from the 23rd until the 26th of November. Bloedserieus wants to encourage people to donate blood. Besides that, they also organise activities during that week that are free for the donors, and every donor receives a richly filled goodie bag!
