WEGWIJZER
Heb je een boekenkast die uitpuilt van de cursusboeken die je een keer hebt bekeken en daarna nooit meer aangeraakt, waardoor je geen plaats meer hebt voor al de nieuwe boeken voor dit semester? Of vind je net dat je boekencollectie er een beetje schraal bij ligt, en zou je die willen aanvullen met wat boeiende lectuur? Wij hebben de oplossing: maandag organiseren we namelijk een boeken- en wafelverkoop! Tussen 12:00 en 14:00 veranderen we de lounge in een tweedehands boekenmarkt. Je kan hier allerlei boeken komen kopen of verkopen die te maken hebben filosofie, of met je minorrichting. Ook de cursusdienst gaat cursussen aanbieden van het vorige semester. Om te zorgen dat we niet alleen je intellectuele honger stillen, verkopen we ook ter plaatse vers gebakken wafels aan zeer schappelijke prijzen!
Met het nieuwe semester gaat ook het nieuwe voetbalseizoen van start: om 21:00 spelen onze dames tegen Medica! Zin om zelf ook mee te spelen in ons mannen- of vrouwenteam? Stuur dan een mailtje naar sport@nfk.be.
Op dinsdag gaat onze fakbar weer open om 21:00, maar deze keer hebben we een heel speciale gast: Cupido. Heb je stiekem altijd al een crush gehad op die ene persoon bij wie je in de les zit, maar heb je het nooit durven zeggen? Schrijf dan een briefje, en onze Cupido zal het voor jou aan die ene speciale persoon bezorgen! Indien de vonk overslaat of je gewoon op zoek bent naar nieuwe vriendschappen, is er tijdens de fakbar ook een kenningsmakingsbingo: je krijgt een papiertje met daarop een aantal eigenschappen, hobby’s… Dan is het de bedoeling dat je met zoveel mogelijk mensen gaat praten om zoveel mogelijk vakjes op je papier af te kruisen. Degene die het eerst klaar is, wint!
Donderdag hebben we een stijlvolle avond voor de boeg! Om 20:30 bekijken en beluisteren we (een digitale versie van) de opera ‘Tosca’ van Puccini in de Kardinaal Mercierzaal van het HIW. Tijdens de pauze kan je genieten van ons kaas- en wijnbuffet voor maar 3 euro. Voor de niet-wijndrinkers zullen we lekker bier voorzien. Inschrijven kan tot woensdagavond 20u00 aan de valven of via google docs.
En natuurlijk zijn we er ook deze week weer op vrijdag met de broodmaaltijd! Nog steeds kan je tussen 12:00 en 14:00 naar de lounge komen voor de lekkerste en gezelligste boterhammetjes van de week.

Ben je muzikant, poëet, fotograaf? Full time, pseudo, quasi of semi? Stuur dan een mailtje naar cultuur@nfk.be en schrijf je in om mee te doen aan onze Open Expo en je kunst te tonen! Dit evenement loopt van 22 tot en met 25 februari en organiseren we samen met kring Mecenas.
NFK doet mee met 40 Dagen Zonder Vlees! Daag jezelf uit om van 10 februari tot 26 maart als vegetariër te leven. Hoe meer deelnames, hoe leuker voor de kring en hoe beter om zovele redenen. Bevestig je deelname hier online.
De openingsuren voor de Cursusdienst van dit semester zijn bekend: maandag van 20:00 tot 22:00, woensdag van 14:00 tot 16:00 en vrijdag van 12:00 tot 14:00 kan je naar de cursusdienst (naast de lounge) komen om je cursussen te kopen.

Is your bookcase so stuffed with course books you only looked at once, that you don’t have any room left for the books of the new semester? Or do you have a rather meagre book collection you’d want to enlarge with some interesting literature? We’ve got the solution, because on Monday we’re organising a book and waffle sale! Between 12:00 and 14:00 the lounge will change into a second hand book market. You can come and buy or sell all kinds of books related to philosophy. The course service will also be there to sell courses from the last semester. To make sure we don’t only satisfy your intellectual hunger, we will also be selling freshly baked waffles at very reasonable prices!
It’s not only the start of the new semester, but also the start of the new soccer season: our women’s team will be playing against Medica at 21:00. If you also want to join our men’s or women’s team, send an email to sport@nfk.be.
On Tuesday our fakbar will be opening at 21:00 again, but this week we have a very special guest: Cupid. Are you having a crush on that one person in your class, but were you always too afraid to say something? Then write a message on a piece of paper and Cupid will deliver it to that special person for you! And if you think there is some chemistry or if you just want to get to know some new friends, you can join in with the get-to-know-each-other-bingo: you get a piece of paper with some characteristics, hobbies… Then you have to go and talk to as many people to check off as many boxes as possible. The person who’s ready first, wins!
Thursday night will be very stylish. At 20:30, we’ll watch and listen to (a digital version of) the opera ‘Tosca’ of Puccini, together in the Kardinaal Mercierzaal in the HIW. During the break, you can enjoy our cheese and wine buffet for only 3 euros. For the non-wine drinkers, we’ll make sure there’s delicious beer. You can register until Wednesday evening 20:00 on the list in the hall or via the google docs.
And of course there is another edition of our bread meal on Friday! Like every week, you can come to the lounge between 12:00 and 14:00 for the tastiest and cosiest sandwiches of the week.
