De eerste schoolweek wordt maandag 21 september ingezet met een oriënteringssessie voor de 1e bachelor door het HIW (in lokaal A) van 14u30 tot 17u00. Aansluitend volgt er een rondleiding doorheen Leuven door NFK, waarna er de mogelijkheid is samen te gaan eten in de Alma. De eerste dag sluiten we af met een kroegentocht! Afspraak om 22u00 aan de poort van het HIW.
Op dinsdag 22 september wordt een heuse Speeddate-fak georganiseerd in onze fakbar. Begeef je dus allen naar het café van het M-museum (Savoyestraat 10) en maak op een leuke manier kennis met elkaar! De fakbar is wekelijks geopend vanaf 21u. Om 22u start de speeddate.
Woensdag 23 september bieden ouderejaars hulp bij het invullen van je ISP en IER. Dit zal doorgaan van 13u00 tot 16u00 in de lounge. ’s Avonds gaan we samen naar het STUK STARTfeest. We verzamelen om 22u00 aan de poort van het HIW.
Vrijdag 25 september kan je à volonté boterhammetjes komen eten op de broodmaaltijd in de lounge voor een luttele €1,50! Deze gaat wekelijks door van 12u00 tot 14u00.
NFKALENDAR
On Monday September 21st, the new academic year starts off with a welcome session (organised by the Institute) for the students of the international programme. This will take place in room B at the HIW from 11:00 to 13:00. Later on, from 14:00 to 16:00, there will be an info session about the examinations (also in room B). At 16:00, NFK (the student association of the philosophy faculty) organises a tour around Leuven which will show you all the highlights of this beautiful university town. Afterwards we will come back to the HIW for an aperitif in the lounge, followed by a dinner at Alma (the student restaurant). To end the day, you can join us on our pub crawl. We will gather at the gates of the HIW at 22:00, and we’ll show you all the best cafés of Leuven. On Tuesday, we’ll help you to get to know your fellow philosophy students at the Institute by organising a friendly speeddate at our fakbar (student café). The speeddate starts at 22:00, but the fakbar itself opens at 21:00. Our fakbar is the M-Café and is located at Savoyestraat 10. Be sure to come if you want to make friends in a quick and fun way!
Because we know some formalities of the student life can be difficult and confusing, NFK organises a help session for filling out your ISP and IER. If you’re not sure which courses to take or have any kind of question regarding the ISP and IER, be sure to come to the lounge on Wednesday between 13:00 and 16:00. There will be a team of older students to help you figure it all out.
In the evening, you can come with us to the STUK STARTfeest (opening party of the arts and music centre). We’ll gather at the gates of the HIW at 22:00 so we can all go together.
On Friday, we have our weekly bread meal in the lounge from 12:00 to 14:00. The concept is simple: we provide you with an abundance of bread, meat, cheese, salads and drinks and you can come and eat all you want for only €1,5!
